Freelance Architectural Designer

We are looking for a Freelance Architectural Designer to support our architectural design work, primarily from concept design through schematic design stages.

The role will involve developing design ideas into clear architectural drawings, 3D studies, and presentation materials. As the work is primarily virtual, the successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while communicating and coordinating effectively with the wider design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural design work from concept to schematic design stages.
• Produce accurate and well-presented CAD plans, elevations, sections, and architectural drawings.
• Develop 3D SketchUp models and design studies to support the design process.
• Prepare supporting diagrams, graphics, and visual materials for design presentations and reports.
• Produce architectural drawings and diagrams for inclusion in design reports and presentation documents.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members in a virtual working environment.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Strong understanding of architectural design processes, particularly from concept to schematic design.
• Proficient in relevant design software, particularly:
• AutoCAD / CAD
• SketchUp
• Adobe Photoshop
• Other architectural software would be an advantage.
• Good design sense and an ability to communicate ideas visually.
• Good attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members are essential.
• Familiarity with large-scale mixed-use / mixed-development projects will be an added advantage.

Working Arrangement

• Freelance / Project Basis
• Fully Virtual / Remote Working
• Candidates are expected to have their own computer and required software ready for work, as hardware and software will not be provided.
• Work will be assigned according to project requirements and deadlines.
