UMJ Engineering is currently looking for Site Safety Supervisor with the following requirements. This is a contract on-site role as a Site Safety Supervisor located in Nusajaya, Johor Bharu, Malaysia.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
• A registered Safety & Health Supervisor with DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book holder
• At least 2 years working experience and above.
• Experience with Fire Systems will be an added advantage.
• Good working attitude and work well under pressure.
• Team player and able to work with all levels of staff
• Possess problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills

Job description

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures.
• Regularly inspect the site to identify and rectify any unsafe conditions.
• Review subcontractor work to ensure adherence to relevant Acts and Regulations and to ensure safe practices by subcontractors.
• Organize and chair toolbox meetings with employees, vendors, sub-contractors, etc. to resolve and close any incidents, safety violations, or penalties.
• Address and correct unsafe practices observed on-site.
• Coordinate and lead emergency response team during accidents and or emergencies to bring the matters under control and close the matters
• Handle and monitor general worker issues and report findings to the Head of Department (HOD).
• Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and other authorized departments (e.g., Bomba, CIDB) to uphold and advance the company’s safety standards and requirements.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
