PARALEGAL / LEGAL EXECUTIVE (Probate)

We are currently looking for an experienced PARALEGAL / LEGAL EXECUTIVE (Probate) to bring his / her knowledge and expertise to the firm.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing specialized paralegal support to fee-earners in all aspects of non-contentious and contentious probate, estate administration, and trust matters.

• Preparing, reviewing, and filing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration with the relevant Probate Registry.

• Drafting key legal documents, including wills, deeds of variation, estate accounts, and detailed correspondence with executors, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.

• Undertaking detailed legal research regarding intestacy rules, inheritance tax liabilities, and cross-jurisdictional estate requirements.

• Assisting with the collection, valuation, and inventory of estate assets and liabilities, and managing the distribution process.

• Performing translation work related to estate documents or client communication when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

• University Degree, Diploma in Legal (Executive) Studies or equivalent is a definite advantage

• At least 2 year of experience in Probate work

• Strong command in English and Cantonese

• Detail-minded and able to work in fast paced environment

• Immediate availability is an added advantage
