Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Lead EMC/EMI compliance activities for server platforms throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to global regulatory and industry standards.
Develop and execute EMC qualification plans, test methodologies, and validation strategies for new server products and technologies.
Conduct and coordinate EMC testing, including radiated and conducted emissions, immunity, and pre-compliance assessments at system and sub-system levels.
Analyze test data, identify compliance risks, and drive design improvements to enhance product robustness and certification readiness.
Investigate and resolve complex EMC/EMI issues through root cause analysis, simulation, debugging, and corrective action implementation.
Partner closely with electrical, mechanical, SI/PI, thermal, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to proactively address EMC requirements during product design.
Support product certification activities with external test laboratories and regulatory agencies, ensuring timely completion of compliance milestones.
Monitor evolving EMC regulations, technologies, and industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement in EMC design and validation processes.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in EMC/EMI design, validation, or compliance engineering for server, computer, telecommunications, or electronic products.
Strong knowledge of global EMC standards and regulatory requirements, including FCC, CE, CISPR, IEC, EN, and related compliance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with EMC testing equipment, such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, antennas, current probes, and signal generators.
Proven ability to troubleshoot EMC/EMI issues and implement effective mitigation solutions at system and board levels.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams through product development and certification cycles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise servers, data center systems, AI servers, or high-performance computing platforms.
Familiarity with PCB design, high-speed interfaces, grounding, shielding, filtering, and signal integrity concepts.
Experience collaborating with accredited EMC laboratories and certification bodies.
Knowledge of EMC simulation tools and design-for-compliance methodologies.
