Welding Manager / Welding In-Charge

Qualification: DME / B.E. / B.Tech. – Mechanical
Experience: Minimum 10+ Years
Preferred Certification: IWE / Certified Welding Engineer / AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1

Industry Experience: Piping Spools, Skids, Pressure Piping, Pressure Vessels, Process Equipment or Heavy Fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage welding activities for piping spools, skid packages, pressure vessels and process equipment.
• Ensure compliance with WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQT, drawings, ASME, AWS, API, ISO and customer specifications.
• Plan welding manpower, equipment, consumables and daily production activities.
• Manage welder qualification, continuity records and performance.
• Provide technical guidance on welding processes, consumables, preheating, PWHT and defect control.
• Coordinate inspections and NDT activities with QA/QC, clients and third-party agencies.
• Monitor welding productivity, rejection, repair and rework; implement RCA and CAPA.
• Maintain weld traceability, consumable control and welding documentation.
• Drive quality improvement, cost reduction and timely project completion.
• Ensure HSE compliance and safe welding practices.
