Function: To advise and assist employer to comply with the relevant laws and regulation related with the Safety, Health and Environment.
1. EHS Management
- Assist the EHS Manager in managing and implementing the company’s EHS programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS legal requirements and company standards.
- Monitor EHS performance and provide regular reports to management.
- Support the development and implementation of EHS objectives, targets and improvement programs.
2. Safety Management
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Monitor implementation of HIRARC and risk control measures.
- Ensure proper PPE selection, usage and compliance.
- Monitor machine safety, chemical safety, ergonomics and other workplace hazards.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
3. Environmental Management
- Monitor environmental compliance and environmental-related activities.
- Manage scheduled waste, chemical storage and disposal activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of environmental records and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with DOE requirements and relevant environmental legislation.
- Support environmental improvement and pollution prevention programs.
4. Incident & Accident Management
- Lead or participate in investigation of accidents, near misses and unsafe occurrences.
- Identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain relevant incident and safety statistics.
5. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate and support internal, customer and third-party EHS audits.
- Prepare necessary EHS documentation and evidence for audits.
- Monitor audit findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Support compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA/CSER and other applicable standards.
6. Training & Awareness
- Develop and coordinate EHS training programs.
- Conduct EHS induction and awareness programs for employees.
- Coordinate toolbox talks and other safety awareness activities.
- Monitor training records and employee competency.
7. Emergency Preparedness
- Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) program.
- Coordinate emergency drills and exercises.
- Ensure emergency equipment and facilities are properly inspected and maintained.
- Review drill performance and follow up on improvement actions.
8. EHS Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain EHS procedures, records, registers and reports.
- Prepare monthly EHS performance reports and KPI updates.
- Ensure EHS documentation is properly controlled and updated.
- Maintain records required by regulatory authorities and company management.
9. EHS Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
- Implement EHS improvement projects and initiatives.
- Promote EHS awareness and a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs.
10. Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Assist in supervising and coordinating EHS personnel and activities.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, HR, Facilities and other departments on EHS matters.
- Liaise with government authorities, consultants, contractors and other external parties when required.
- Provide EHS advice and support to management and employees.
Working Hours
- 5-day work week (Monday to Friday)
- Work Location: In person
- Working Hours: 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
