Lead – Compute Infrastructure Services
Location: KL, Malaysia

Job Description
We are looking for a Lead – Compute Infrastructure Services to provide technical and people leadership for enterprise compute infrastructure services. The role will lead Windows and Linux/Unix platforms, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure across a 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Windows, Linux, and Unix platform services team.
Own infrastructure service delivery, availability, reliability, and operational performance.
Manage 24x7 operations, major incidents, service recovery, escalation, and root cause analysis.
Drive OS patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
Lead infrastructure standardization, automation, and modernization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with security, audit, risk, and governance requirements.
Work closely with application, cloud, security, network, and other infrastructure teams.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and capability development for the team.
Manage workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development.
Act as the People & Site Leader for KL-based Compute Infrastructure employees.
Drive employee engagement, collaboration, and alignment across regional teams.
Provide operational and workforce updates to senior management.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
12+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Operations.
Minimum 5 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix platforms, preferably RHEL.
Good knowledge of Windows Server environments.
Strong experience in OS platform management, patching, security hardening, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
Experience managing 24x7 mission-critical infrastructure operations.
Proven experience handling major incidents, crisis management, RCA, and service recovery.
Experience leading large, distributed, or multi-location teams.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, modernization, and operational best practices.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Good to Have
Certifications such as RHCE, Microsoft, VMware VCP, OpenShift, or ITIL.
Experience with VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Public Cloud, Storage, and Backup technologies.
Experience with monitoring, observability, and performance management tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and compliance.
