Responsibilities

• Focuses on the development of functional modules to interface and for data exchange for direct DC charging of EV compliant to GB, CCS, and CHAdeMO standards.

• Determine method, design interface, parameters and communication protocols for control and monitoring of ACDC and DCDC power converters, BESS, and ESM modules.

• Define parameters and implement low-level drivers for various communication protocols interfacing EVSE & BESS controllers.

• Design and develop failsafe control algorithm for real time power distribution control during EV charging and BESS recharging including error handling methods when error such as faulty hardware, loss of communication, loss/unstable of AC power source occurs.

Requirement:

• Degree or above in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

• Proven history in firmware and driver development for MCU with C/C++ for SPI, UART/RS232/RS485/Modbus, I2C/SMBus and CAN.

• 3+ years of working experience in Electric Vehicle charging functions & safety requirements and digital communication protocols (CCS [e.g. IEC 61851, 62196, 15118]), GB [GB_T 18487, 27930 etc], CHAdeMO) is a definite plus.

• Knowledge of BMS and BESS for re-chargeable battery, requirement of battery electronics functions, determination of essential and critical parameters of BMS and BESS.

• Design track record for international safety standard requirements (IEC, CE, UN, UL, CCC etc.) is advantageous.
