Working Hours: 8.00am to 5.00pm (Monday to Friday)
Report to Manufacturing IT Team
Assist in impact analysis and requirement gathering
Support integration assessment and documentation of relevant applications
Involve in delivering application solutions to cater for the Virtual Connected Factory implementation in a timely and efficient manner
Develop new applications and enhancements on existing manufacturing applications to meet new business process changes and enable smart device implementation
Design and implement Kafka-based event streaming pipelines to support real-time data publishing across manufacturing sites
Develop and maintain Kafka producers and consumers integrated with .NET-based services for manufacturing data flows
Support Kafka topic management including topic naming conventions, partition configuration, and broker setup across multi-site environments
Monitor and implement continuous application improvement
Perform unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT)
Assist in data validation and issue tracking during UAT and production rollout
Support defect fixing and troubleshooting activities
Prepare technical documentation and test evidence
Participate in deployment and post-go-live support
Requirements
Master / Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, including: .NET Core / .NET 6+, C# and/or VB.NET, ASP.NET (MVC / Web API), MySQL or MS SQL Server and PL/SQL, React / ReactJS, Blazor, IIS administration, and Web Services (REST/SOAP)
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producer/consumer development, topic configuration, and broker management
Familiar with API integration and data exchange concepts, including event-driven architecture patterns
Exposure to testing (unit testing, SIT, UAT support)
Willingness to learn MES and manufacturing processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to deal with the challenges and complexities of the automation process
Good knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures for high quality automation software development
Sense of responsibility and good communication skills

Experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment in a technical capacity
Familiarity with manufacturing domain applications and processes
Experience supporting and maintaining service-oriented architectures (SOA/microservices)
Exposure to Kafka ecosystem tools such as Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, or Confluent Platform
Experience designing multi-site Kafka deployments with standardized topic naming and replication strategies
Exposure to Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or AI-related technologies and frameworks
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Familiarity with source code version control systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server or Git)
Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills is a plus
