Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Technical Assistant to support our fleet maintenance and technical operations. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating vehicle maintenance, monitoring fleet conditions, maintaining technical records, and ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair works for company vehicles and tankers.
• Liaise with workshops, suppliers, and service providers regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, road tax, insurance, PUSPAKOM inspections, and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain and update vehicle maintenance records, service reports, repair costs, and fleet documentation.
• Assist in inspecting vehicles and identifying technical issues or defects.
• Follow up on breakdowns, repair progress, and vehicle availability to minimize operational downtime.
• Assist in monitoring spare parts, workshop expenses, and maintenance-related costs.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable vehicle safety and maintenance requirements.
• Perform other technical and administrative duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience in fleet or commercial vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and record keeping.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Possess a valid driving licence will be an advantage.
