Engineer/Manager – ELV Systems (Data Center Projects)
Reporting ToHead of Projects / Project Director

Position OverviewThe Engineer/Manager – ELV Systems is responsible for the end-to-end management, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Integrated Security Systems for mission-critical Data Center construction projects.
The role oversees design coordination, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning, subcontractor management, and project delivery while ensuring compliance with project specifications, construction schedules, quality standards, cybersecurity requirements, and safety regulations.
The Engineer/Manager will work closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, system vendors, and internal engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and fully integrated ELV solutions within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
Lead and manage ELV systems implementation throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, manpower deployment, and milestones.
Ensure project delivery meets contractual requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate project activities with construction, M&E, ICT, and other trade contractors.
Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate risks affecting schedule or cost.
Manage the deployment and integration of ELV and mission-critical systems including:
Security & Surveillance Systems
CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems (VMS)
Video Analytics & AI Analytics
Access Control Systems (ACS)
Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS)
Intercom & Emergency Communication Systems
Security Command Centre Integration
Structured Cabling Systems
IP Network Infrastructure
Fiber Optic Backbone
Public Address / Voice Alarm Systems
Building Management System (BMS) Interfaces
Review and coordinate ELV shop drawings, system architecture, schematics, and technical submissions.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
Coordinate with consultants and client teams for technical approvals and design clarifications.
Manage engineering changes, RFIs, and design revisions.
Validate system interoperability and integration requirements.
Manage procurement of ELV equipment and long-lead items.
Evaluate vendors and subcontractors for technical and commercial suitability.
Monitor delivery schedules and supply chain risks.
Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and vendor inspections where required.
Supervise site installation activities and subcontractor performance.
Conduct site coordination meetings and progress reviews.
Ensure proper installation methods and compliance with approved drawings.
Resolve construction and interface issues promptly.
Monitor manpower productivity and installation quality.
Lead system testing, integration, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with client, consultant, and authority representatives during T&C.
Review and approve testing procedures and commissioning documentation.
Ensure all systems achieve performance and operational acceptance requirements.
Manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and handover activities.
Ensure compliance with:
Project technical specifications
Data center operational requirements
International and local standards
QA/QC procedures
Cybersecurity and network segregation requirements
Client security and governance standards
Ensure all documentation and installations comply with approved methodologies and project standards.
Monitor project budgets and cost performance.
Manage variation orders, claims, and change management processes.
Review subcontractor progress claims and invoices.
Track project financial performance and forecast cost risks.
Support contract administration and commercial negotiations where required.
Prepare and maintain:
Weekly and monthly project reports
Progress updates
Risk and issue registers
Technical documentation
Method statements
As-built drawings
O&M manuals
Handover documentation
Present project updates to management and clients.
Degree or Diploma in:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Telecommunications
Building Services Engineering
Or related discipline
Minimum 3–8 years of experience in ELV or Integrated Security Systems projects.
Minimum 3–5 years managing large-scale Data Center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
Experience in hyperscale, colocation, or critical infrastructure environments preferred.
Strong working knowledge of:
Data Center ELV and security architecture
IP networking and structured cabling

Fiber optic infrastructure
Redundant and resilient network design
