Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop large equipment racks, base frames, and mechanical systems for complex automation and industrial equipment. The role involves end-to-end product development, mechanical integration, structural and thermal analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop equipment racks, chassis, base frames, and mechanical assemblies.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Perform mechanical integration of structural, electrical, pneumatic, and automation subsystems.
• Design sheet metal, machined, and fabricated components with consideration for manufacturability and cost.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, design verification, and product validation activities.
• Support thermal, structural, vibration, and fluidic analysis to ensure product reliability and performance.
• Work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and project teams throughout product development and commercialization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2-5 years of experience in large equipment, machine, automation, or industrial system design.
• Knowledge/experience in Sheet metal design, machining, and fabrication.
• Surface finishing processes including passivation and electropolishing.
• Mechanisms, actuators, motion systems, and precision automation.
• Thermal and structural analysis, fluidics, and machine conditioning.
• GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Creo.
• Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, or simulation tools is an advantage.
