Role Description The Singaporean Recording Project (Remote) is a temporary freelance opportunity focused on creating high-quality audio recordings in Singaporean English and/or other local language varieties as required by the project. Day-to-day tasks include following detailed recording scripts, reading prompts clearly, capturing audio using a provided or approved recording tool, and ensuring that all recordings meet technical and linguistic quality standards. The role involves carefully reviewing instructions, submitting recordings within set deadlines, and responding to feedback or revision requests when necessary. This is a remote role, allowing candidates to work from any suitable quiet location with stable internet access and appropriate recording equipment. The position is project-based, with workload and duration dependent on client needs and overall project scope.

Qualifications

• Strong spoken proficiency in Singaporean English and familiarity with local expressions, pronunciation, and speech patterns.
• Clear, natural speaking voice with good diction, consistent volume, and the ability to follow scripted prompts accurately.
• Basic technical skills to operate recording software or mobile apps, upload files, and troubleshoot simple audio or connectivity issues.
• Access to a quiet recording environment, a reliable internet connection, and suitable recording hardware (e.g., smartphone, headset, or microphone).
• Attention to detail, reliability in meeting deadlines, and ability to follow written and audio instructions precisely.
• Comfort working independently in a remote, freelance setting and communicating effectively with project coordinators online.
• Prior experience in voice recording, voice-over, transcription, or linguistic data projects is beneficial but not mandatory.
