Job Summary
Responsible for purchasing, supplier coordination, cost control, and inventory management to support daily F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase food ingredients, packaging, consumables, and operational supplies.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers.
- Prepare and monitor Purchase Orders and delivery schedules.
- Maintain good supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on ingredient requirements, product specifications, menu planning, costing, and stock availability.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Handle inventory control, including stock movement, stock reconciliation, reorder levels, and stock variance.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, and near-expiry stock.
- Participate in stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor price changes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with Kitchen, Store, Operations, QA, and Finance.
- Maintain proper purchasing and inventory documentation.
- Prepare purchasing and inventory reports for Management.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in F&B, catering, food manufacturing, hotel, or restaurant industry.
- Hands-on inventory control experience is required.
- Familiar with PO, PR, DO, stock count, stock reconciliation, and supplier invoice processes.
- Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP, SQL Accounting, or inventory systems is an advantage.
