Job Description
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Conduct various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Document inspection results and test data accurately and thoroughly in quality records, databases, and reporting systems.
- Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action requests (CARs) when necessary.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality requirements are understood and consistently applied.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
Requirements Qualification & Skills
- Minimum diploma in technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use various measurement tools and equipment accurately.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant quality tools (e.g., 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Experience in aerospace/sheet metal/ machining would be as advantaged
