Job Summary
Join a growing team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, contract administration, and project cost optimization for diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation to support project bidding and execution
Administer contracts by managing variations, interim payments, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial control
Monitor project progress and deliver timely, accurate cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and negotiate terms to optimize project costs and quality
Ensure all contractual and legal obligations are met throughout project lifecycles
Conduct value engineering and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate project risks
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors to develop team capabilities (Senior role only)
Required competencies and certifications
Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Senior Quantity Surveyor position
Proven ability to perform pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties with accuracy and commercial insight
Proficiency in MS Excel for cost analysis and reporting
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Strong commercial awareness demonstrated through effective cost management and contract negotiation
Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills applied in project and stakeholder interactions
