Project Manager (Licensed Plumber)

Job Summary

Manage plumbing term contracts and oversee plumbing construction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with PUB regulations, contractual requirements, quality standards, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle execution of plumbing term contracts from commencement to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation works to meet quality and safety standards
• Oversee plumbing construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, project specifications, contractual obligations, and safety regulations
• Supervise and coordinate construction workers, plumbers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient work aligned with project schedules and quality benchmarks
• Ensure all plumbing works comply with PUB regulations, statutory requirements, and company quality standards
• Monitor project schedules, manpower deployment, work progress, project costs, and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, government agencies, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve project matters and maintain stakeholder alignment
• Conduct site inspections to verify quality workmanship and compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
• Prepare detailed project schedules, progress reports, work plans, method statements, and other essential project documentation
• Participate in project coordination meetings and resolve technical and operational issues promptly
• Drive the company lorry to transport tools, materials, equipment, and ferry workers to project sites as required
• Respond to emergency call-outs and provide on-call support beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, as operationally needed

Required competencies and certifications

• PUB Registered Licensed Plumber
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence (mandatory for driving company lorry)
• Valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) certificate or Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (WSHMCI) certificate (mandatory)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in plumbing works
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the plumbing industry
• Strong knowledge of Singapore PUB regulations, plumbing systems, and statutory compliance requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines
• Willingness and ability to work beyond normal hours and be on call, including weekends and public holidays
