ROLE MISSION
You will support the timely and cost-effective sourcing of ship supplies, vessel-related goods, and services.
The role will help ensure smooth vessel operations by working closely with internal teams, vessels, and vendors to meet operational needs efficiently.
This position reports to the Procurement Manager and is part of a Procurement team of six members.
ROLE SUMMARY
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing ship supplies, vessel-related goods, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The role handles quotations, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and coordination with internal teams, vessels, and suppliers to support smooth fleet operations and control vessel operating costs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Handle the purchasing process in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain proper purchase documentation.
Obtain and compare competitive quotations from approved suppliers.
Follow up on the supply and delivery of approved purchases to vessels.
Work closely with the Technical Team to ensure supply chain operations match vessel requirements.
Coordinate with the Technical Team, vessels, vendors, and the invoice processing team to resolve invoice queries.
Update purchase orders and share supply status in the procurement system on a daily basis.
Support general procurement administration and related tasks as required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Tertiary education
Buyer experience in the shipping industry, preferably in ship management or ship owning.
Familiar with Microsoft Office.
Strong communications in written and spoken English.
