Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, ensuring high performance and engagement.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Manage resource allocation, performance reviews, and team development plans.

1. Software Development Oversight

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of the e-invoicing system.
• Ensure the application architecture adheres to best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive continuous improvements in code quality, performance, and maintainability.

1. Project Management

• Collaborate with project managers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.
• Create and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Proactively address risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks.

1. Compliance and Security

• Ensure the system complies with relevant regulatory standards and data privacy laws.
• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data.

1. Innovation and Technology Strategy

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in e-invoicing and fintech.
• Recommend and implement tools, frameworks, or methodologies to enhance productivity and system performance.

1. Product Support and Incident Management

• Oversee the timely resolution of production issues and provide technical guidance to the support team.
• Act as the Incident Commander during critical incidents, coordinating cross- functional teams to ensure swift resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Continuously improve incident response processes and documentation to enhance system reliability and minimize downtime.

1. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the primary technical liaison between engineering, operations, and business teams.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Key Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a

related field.

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

1. Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of e-invoicing systems, APIs, and integrations with financial systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages in Java (preferable), Python, Golang etc.
• Experience with cloud services, containerized platforms (e.g. AWS EKS, Azure K8s, SUSE Rancher) and CI/CD pipelines.

1. In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with database systems. Knowledge of SQL, ORMs, and a variety of databases (SQL and NoSQL).

1. Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to manage and inspire engineering teams.
• Experience in handling cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.

1. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound technical and strategic decisions under pressure.

1. Domain Knowledge

• Experience in financial technology, particularly in e-invoicing, Peppol, payments, or ERP integrations, is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as LHDN guidelines, BNM RMiT, or PCI DSS.
