Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Service Assistant Engineer / Technician to provide installation, maintenance, repair, and technical support for microscope and imaging systems for life science industrial. The role involves both customer-site and in-house servicing, including troubleshooting, calibration, preventive maintenance, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and set up microscopes, cameras, imaging systems, software, and accessories.
• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, calibration, and repair.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, optical, electrical, and software-related problems.
• Replace faulty components and perform system testing after repair.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and calibration documentation.
• Provide basic user training on equipment operation and proper care.
• Support technical demonstrations, evaluations, and product testing when required.
• Follow company service procedures and safety requirements.

Job Requirements

Education

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Precision Engineering, Instrumentation, or related technical fields.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or optical systems.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Able to use common tools and measuring equipment such as multimeters and calipers.
• Experience with microscopes, imaging systems, laboratory instruments, or related equipment is an advantage.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of relevant servicing or equipment maintenance experience is preferred.
• Experience with microscope, laboratory, hospital, or semiconductor equipment is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with good technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are welcome to apply.

Other Requirements

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Hands-on with good problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to customer sites such as factories, laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and cleanrooms.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Able to handle equipment weighing approximately 10 to 20 kg occasionally.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per month
