MISSION
The Librarian Assistant assists the teacher in her/his daily tasks and contributes to the supervision of the students in the 3C (Knowledge and Culture Centre).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing Documents :
Recording and equipping books
Filing and organizing documents, putting shelves back in order
Manage loans and document delays
Reminder letters sent to families
Register the books for the 3C and for the other departments
Secretariat tasks :
Follow-up on departures during the school year (liaison with the Departure Office, Eduka)
Managing Student and Spaces in the 3C
To ensure the functioning of the 3C alone in the absence of the librarian teacher
Welcoming and advising users (students, teachers, adults)
Managing student flow
Ensure that the space and equipment provided are respected
Responding to various requests in relation to attendance and use and booking of spaces
Helping the students with the photocopying and printing machine at the 3C
Set up themed decorations across the different event spaces
Helping with documentary research, cultural animation:
Helping users to find their way around in the various spaces and to find the documents they are looking for, in particular via the 3C search engine (PMB).
Accompanying students in their productions (production of computer graphics, videos, audiovisual montages)
Organize activities for the students in the 3C (setting up workshops, clubs and to assist with the video projection link to the activities and events in the 3C)
Assist the librarian in his or her cultural and recreational activities at high school level.
SKILLS, APTITUDES, EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
Significant training or experience in the field of information and documentation
Take an interest in and adapt to new technologies. Curiosity and skills in the computer field will be privileged (use of word processing software such as Word and Excel, Google Drive, video and sound editing software such as Audacity, Magic info, Canva, making video capsules).
Knowledge of library management software desired
Desired school experience
Proficiency in the French language required,
Mastery of the English language desired
Sense of contact and strong interpersonal skills
Be able to work in a team
Be rigorous in the method of information management
Adapting to the needs of children from 6th to 12th grade (6ème to Terminale)
A taste for culture and literature
WORKING CONDITIONS
Permanent contract, Full time (42 hours) ,
International Medical insurance covering maternity, dental, optical serious illness and much more.
School fees reduction as well as a free after day care for children enrolled in IFS.
School vacation (except for 5 days at end/beginning of academic year )
