About the Role
We’re looking for an
Assistant Café Manager
to join us as part of an exciting new F&B concept in Singapore.
You’ll work closely with the Café Manager and wider management team to help build and run the café from the ground up — from setting up service standards and daily operations to training the team and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people and making sure things run smoothly.
The Role
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the café.
Support the Café Manager in overseeing front-of-house operations and service.
Lead the team during service and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the café.
Welcome and engage with guests, ensuring a warm and consistent experience.
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Manage cashiering, POS and daily sales procedures where required.
Assist with stock receiving, inventory checks and ordering.
Monitor service supplies and ensure the café is properly stocked and ready for service.
Support the implementation of SOPs and service standards.
Train and coach new and existing team members.
Assist with staff scheduling and manpower planning.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house.
Support events, promotions and special activations when required.
Assist the Café Manager with administrative and operational tasks.
Step up to oversee the café in the Café Manager’s absence.
What We’re Looking For
At least
2–3 years of experience in café, restaurant or hospitality operations
, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
Confident in leading a team and comfortable taking charge during service.
Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys interacting with people.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Organised, responsible and able to stay calm in a busy environment.
Good attention to detail and high standards for service.
Comfortable with POS systems, basic cash handling and daily operational procedures.
Willing to be hands-on and jump in wherever needed.
Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
A genuine interest in food, coffee and hospitality is a plus.
