We’re Hiring: Manager, Procurement

We are looking for an experienced and strategic
Manager, Procurement
to oversee the Club’s end-to-end procurement activities. You will lead sourcing and tender processes, manage vendors and contracts, strengthen procurement governance, and ensure all purchases are carried out efficiently, competitively and in line with approved policies. Working closely with internal departments and suppliers, you will help drive value, compliance and operational efficiency while providing guidance and leadership to the procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Governance
Lead and manage sourcing initiatives to achieve value for money while meeting quality and service requirements.
Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the Financial Operating Manual and approved policies.
Oversee tender and quotation processes, including preparation of specifications, evaluations, and award recommendations.
Review and enhance procurement policies, procedures, KPIs, and workflows to strengthen governance and accountability.
Vendor & Contract Management
Maintain the approved vendor list, ensuring appropriate due diligence and periodic performance reviews.
Manage the contract register accurately, including tracking of renewals, expiries, and contractual obligations.
Address and resolve supplier-related issues in a timely and professional manner, safeguarding the Club’s interests.
Support inventory verification exercises and ensure proper documentation is maintained for audit purposes.
Maintain clear audit trails and prepare procurement reports for management and committee review.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with departments to understand procurement requirements and provide practical, responsive support.
Guide internal users on procurement processes, system usage, and compliance expectations.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support smooth operations.
Team Leadership
Provide guidance and oversight to procurement team members to ensure consistent standards, accuracy, and timeliness of work.
Support the development of team capabilities through coaching and on-the-job guidance.
General
Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in hospitality, clubs, F&B, or service industries.
Proven track record in tender management, contract negotiation, and vendor governance.
Experience with procurement systems such as TenderBoard, Sesami, NorthStar, or similar ERP platforms.
Hands-on experience in stock management, inventory counts, and audit processes.
Sound analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess quotations, and identify value opportunities.
Effective collaborator and clear communicator across multiple functions.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Supportive leader who fosters teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
