Role Summary
The Graduate Engineer Trainee Programme (GETP) is a structured 12-month development programme designed to equip entry-level Chemical Engineering candidates with practical experience and technical competencies through hands-on learning and cross-functional exposure.
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable exposure to daily operations while contributing to real business projects.
Upon successful completion of the programme and satisfactory performance, trainees may be offered a permanent position as an Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Understudy experienced engineers and gain hands-on exposure to daily operations.
- Participate in challenging projects to develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Support operational excellence initiatives across various functional areas, including:
- Operations Management
- Manpower Management
- Project Management
- Process Control and Automation Systems
- Technical Support and Continuous Improvement
- Undergo structured job rotations across multiple departments / sections and functions to develop a broad understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Perform other engineering-related assignments as required throughout the training programme.
Job Requirements
- Entry-level candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and a strong academic record (high CGPA preferred).
- Passionate about manufacturing operations, process engineering, and engineering solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- No prior work experience is required.
