Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Documentation Specialist to support the development, standardization, and controlled management of SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs) for ultra-clean product assembly in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, and other subject-matter experts to ensure technical documents are accurate, clear, consistent, traceable, and compliant with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
- Develop and standardize SOPs, WIs, and process documentation for manufacturing and assembly activities.
- Maintain the master register of approximately 97 SOPs and WIs, including document ownership, revision status, affected processes/equipment, training requirements, and conversion priorities.
- Review legacy documentation with engineers and subject-matter experts to identify obsolete, duplicate, or inaccurate documents and align documentation with current practices.
- Convert existing SOPs and WIs into approved company templates and controlled-document formats.
- Standardize document structure, terminology, revision history, approval workflows, safety requirements, quality checkpoints, and references.
- Incorporate clear visual aids where appropriate, such as photographs, diagrams, flowcharts, equipment screenshots, inspection examples, and acceptance/rejection criteria.
- Coordinate document reviews, comments, approvals, controlled release, revision updates, and archival of superseded documents.
- Assess training impact resulting from document revisions and coordinate required acknowledgement or retraining.
- Track documentation progress, outstanding actions, review status, and key risks through regular reporting and dashboards.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring documents are current, approved, traceable, and available at the point of use.
- Support engineering activities such as Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), BOM/routing verification, and Purchase Requisitions (PRs) when required.
Job Requirement:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing, technical documentation, document control, technical writing, quality systems, production engineering, or continuous improvement is preferred.
- Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, precision engineering, optics, medical device, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Good understanding of controlled-document practices, revision control, change management, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and process mapping.
- Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with BOMs, routings, and engineering master data is an advantage.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical processes into clear and operator-friendly SOPs and WIs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with electronic document-management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn and comply with company requirements relating to quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, or AS9100D is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline are welcome to apply.
