Job Description

The Exercise Trainer will be responsible for conducting fitness programmes for seniors under NTUC Health’s Active Ageing Services.

You will need to:

Conducting fitness classes

• Conduct fitness programmes for seniors
• Receive training on new fitness programmes that will be introduced regularly
• Conduct pre- and post-programme assessments for clients
• Attend to walk-in customers
• Maintain a safe, hygienic and conducive environment
• Maintain client records and mark attendance in the system

Admin and others

• Participate in marketing/promotional activities to promote NTUC Health’s active ageing services
• Maintain inventory of equipment used for exercise programmes
• Participate in team meetings and other operational tasks as needed

Qualification

You should:

• Possess a WSQ Certificate / Advance Certificate in Therapy Services, or Certificate or Diploma in related Sports, fitness training or related fields
• Have at least 2 years of experience conducting fitness classes
• Have a lively personality with engaging communication skills
• Be comfortable with change and new programmes
• Be first aid certified
• Possess experience working with elderly clients

Other Information

You may be required to travel islandwide to cover duties at various centres. You may also be expected to work outside normal office hours or on weekends, based on the needs of the programmes
