We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to provide dedicated on-call support at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The successful candidate will ensure seamless network security operations through expert troubleshooting, monitoring, and rapid incident response, including during non-standard hours, weekends, and public holidays.


Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Network Security & Incident Support
  • Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, access control, and network connectivity.
  • Assess, categorize, and prioritize IT incidents using BMC Remedy ITSM.
  • Log, update, monitor, and follow up on tickets to ensure timely resolution and SLA compliance.
  • Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams according to the escalation matrix.
  • Provide complete incident details, troubleshooting steps, screenshots, and relevant documentation for escalation.


2. Security Monitoring & Response

  • Monitor network security systems, dashboards, and security alerts.
  • Identify and respond to potential security threats, intrusion attempts, and unauthorized access.
  • Support incident response and security risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with security and technical teams to resolve security incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL, ISO 27001, and relevant security procedures.


3. CMDB & Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate CMDB records for network security assets, configurations, and relationships.
  • Update asset and configuration information following network infrastructure changes.
  • Ensure CMDB data remains accurate and up to date.


4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor ticket queues, SLA performance, and recurring incidents.
  • Prepare reports on incidents, ticket backlog, and SLA compliance.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to network security and ITSM processes.


5. Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge based articles.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and workarounds.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and initiatives to reduce recurring network security incidents.


6. On-Call Support

  • Provide on-site network security support during regular working hours after-hours on-call standby support.
  • Respond promptly to urgent and mission-critical network security incidents.



We are looking for an individual with

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in network security engineering, incident management, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint security, and network monitoring tools. FCP/NSE4 certification is required.
  • Hands-on experience with BMC Remedy ITSM, ITIL processes, and CMDB management.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, network security protocols, and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure and mission-critical environment.
