Role Description The Databricks Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms on Databricks to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making. In this full-time remote role, the individual will build and optimize ETL processes, implement data models, and manage data warehousing solutions aligned with business and project requirements. The Databricks Data Engineer will collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and data analysts to understand data needs, ensure data quality, and deliver reliable datasets and dashboards. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing performant code in languages such as Python or SQL, monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for security, governance, and performance in a cloud environment.
Qualifications

• Strong data engineering skills, including experience building and maintaining data pipelines and working with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
• Proficiency in data modeling and designing structured, scalable schemas to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Hands-on expertise with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including the ability to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and implementation on modern cloud or big data architectures.
• Ability to perform data analytics, including querying, profiling, and interpreting data to support business insights.
• Advanced skills in SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and related data services.
• Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
