Programme Overview

This 2-month Retail Management Trainee Programme is designed to groom fresh graduates and entry-level professionals into future leaders in retail operations. The program includes three structured phases:

1st Month: Theory + Practical Training

• In-depth classroom and hands-on sessions covering:

  • Shop Assistant Training Programme: customer service, POS operations, merchandising

  • Supervisor Training Programme: team coordination, SOP enforcement, inventory management

  • Field Manager Training Programme: outlet performance, audits, leadership and compliance

• Includes role play, simulations, and shadowing opportunities

2nd Month: Management Trainee Training Program & Training At Outlet

• Assigned to a KK Supermart outlet for hands-on learning

• Perform daily tasks under supervision

• Rotate through various shifts to understand full outlet operations

• Apply learned skills in a real-world setting

• Take on operational responsibilities independently

• Assist outlet supervisors and managers with day-to-day decisions

• Apply leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Performance will be monitored and reviewed by the management team

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in all three rotational stages

• Execute operational tasks and leadership duties based on training phase

• Analyse sales and inventory data for performance improvements

• Support promotional activities and maintain visual merchandising standards

• Drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence

• Prepare reports and share insights during progress reviews

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related fields

• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply/ Minimum 3 years‘ experience in retail (preferably in FMCG, hypermarket, supermarket, or convenience store channels)

• Willing to work in shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays

• Open to relocation and travelling between outlets during the programme

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Passionate about retail operations and frontline leadership
