Freelance IT Deployment Technician – Laptop Deployment Project

Location: Hong Kong
Work Arrangement: On-site
Contract Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Project Duration: 5 consecutive working days
Required Headcount: 2 Technicians
Deployment Volume: 150 laptops total
Daily Target: Approximately 30 laptops per day per team

About the Project

TCMP is looking for 2 experienced IT Deployment Technicians to support an enterprise workplace laptop deployment project in Hong Kong.

The project involves the on-site installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of approximately 150 laptops over 5 working days. The technicians will work as a team at the client’s enterprise workplace and will be responsible for ensuring that each laptop is properly prepared and ready for end-user use.

This is a hands-on deployment project suited to IT technicians who are comfortable working in a structured enterprise environment and completing a defined number of device deployments within daily project targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation and deployment of laptops at the client workplace
• Unbox, physically set up, and prepare laptops for deployment
• Connect laptops to the required network, peripherals, and workplace equipment
• Perform basic device configuration according to the client’s deployment procedures
• Install or verify required applications, drivers, and software
• Perform basic functional testing and confirm device readiness
• Follow the client’s device deployment checklist and standard operating procedures
• Record completed deployments and report any hardware or software issues
• Troubleshoot basic deployment-related issues and escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate technical team
• Coordinate with the client’s IT / workplace support team during deployment
• Maintain accurate deployment records throughout the project
• Complete the assigned daily deployment target while maintaining quality and accuracy

Daily Project Scope

The project target is approximately:

• 30 laptops per day
• 5 consecutive working days
• 150 laptops total
• 2 on-site technicians working together

The exact daily schedule and deployment procedures will be provided by the client during project onboarding.

RequirementsRequired

• Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, hardware deployment, or laptop deployment
• Hands-on experience setting up and configuring Windows laptops
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, networking, and peripherals
• Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
• Comfortable working on-site in an enterprise/corporate environment
• Able to follow standardized deployment procedures and checklists
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently toward daily deployment targets
• Professional communication and workplace etiquette
• Availability for the full 5-day project period

Preferred

• Experience with large-scale laptop / desktop rollouts
• Experience supporting enterprise or multinational corporate environments
• Experience with Microsoft Windows deployment
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, or similar enterprise environments
• Experience with device imaging, provisioning, or endpoint configuration
• Previous experience working as an on-site IT deployment technician

Working Conditions

• On-site project in Hong Kong
• Hands-on laptop deployment and installation work
• Technicians will work in coordination with the client’s IT / workplace team
• The role requires standing, moving between workstations, and handling laptop equipment during deployment
• Strict adherence to client security, access, and workplace policies is required
