Embedded Linux Kernel Engineer – Performance / Memory & Systems

Our client, a Singapore-based automotive tech company building custom automotive SoCs and AI-powered vehicle computing platforms, is expanding its Linux kernel team. We're hiring across two specialist tracks.

Track A – Performance: Drive Linux kernel adaptation and system-level performance optimization for next-generation automotive SoCs. Optimize ARM CPU behavior and kernel scheduling, lead SoC performance analysis, and benchmark toolchains to maximize platform efficiency.

Track B – Kernel & Memory Systems: Develop and optimize core Linux kernel functions — boot, memory management, process scheduling, device drivers, and virtualization — for integrated cockpit and driving domain platforms. Build and maintain Linux platforms across hardware environments (HAPS, VDK, EVB) and contribute to system stability across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.

Common requirements across tracks:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation, or related field
• Track A: 5+ years in Linux system performance optimization or SoC performance analysis; proficient in perf, ftrace, ARMv8/ARMv9, Cortex-A microarchitecture (A76/A78/A720), AXI/ACE, cache coherence
• Track B: 3+ years in Linux kernel development; strong understanding of the kernel framework and core modules; proficient in JTAG/T32 real-time debugging and offline ramdump analysis
• ARM64 architecture familiarity (both tracks)
• Strong C/C++ skills; Python/Bash scripting a plus (Track A)
• Android/SDK development experience and Linux open-source contributions a plus (Track B)
