Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Architect to design and govern the technical architecture for Smart Utilities & Infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient systems that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
Responsibilities
Design end-to-end system architecture, including hardware, software, networking, and system integration.
Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Develop architecture designs, technical specifications, and implementation standards.
Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and infrastructure solutions.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and enterprise architecture standards.
Support system integration, testing, commissioning, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
Identify technical risks and work with project teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 12 years of experience in system or enterprise architecture.
Proven experience designing distributed, cloud, or hybrid architectures.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and DevOps practices.
Experience with databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) and data architecture.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and secure-by-design principles.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data storage technologies is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
