Assistant Marketing Communications Manager / Executive

This Assistant Manager/Executive position is designed to execute the Marketing Communication job function of the listed below. This position is set to be based in the resort in Desaru, Johor.

The reporting line is to the Marketing Communications Manager that is based in Kuala Lumpur Sales Office.

The job functions are extensive, not limited as listed below:

• Marketing Communications Strategy
• Develop and execute the annual Marketing Communications plan aligned with resort business objectives.
• Create integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, consideration, and bookings.
• Support key business periods, seasonal promotions, and tactical campaigns.
• Develop communication calendars for all resort outlets and experiences.
• Identify marketing opportunities to maximize brand visibility and market share.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and tourism developments.
• Recommend new marketing initiatives that enhance resort positioning.
• Brand Management
• Ensure all communications are aligned with brand standards and guidelines.
• Maintain consistency across all visual and written communications.
• Act as brand guardian for all marketing materials.
• Review and approve creative assets before publication.
• Ensure brand integrity across internal and external platforms.
• Collaborate with Minor Hotels corporate marketing teams on brand campaigns and compliance.
• Public Relations & Media Relations
  
  

Media Hosting

• Lead the planning and execution of all media visits and familiarization trips.
• Develop hosting itineraries for journalists, influencers, content creators, and travel partners.
• Coordinate accommodation, dining, resort experiences, transportation, and interviews.
• Act as host and resort representative during media stays.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and international media.
• Develop media pitching strategies to secure coverage.
• Organize media events, press conferences, and launch events.
• Track and evaluate media coverage and publicity value.

Social Media Strategy

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy.
• Manage all resort social platforms.

Content Planning

• Create monthly social media calendars.
• Plan content themes and storytelling angles.
• Coordinate content around events, promotions, festive seasons, and resort experiences.
• Ensure content aligns with revenue priorities.
  
  

Social Media Execution

• Write engaging captions and copy.
• Schedule and publish content.
• Manage organic social campaigns.
• Monitor engagement and audience growth.
• Respond to social media comments and messages where required.
