The Regional Security Manager, APAC & Middle East is responsible for developing and rolling out supply chain related security policies and procedures across the region. He / She will also provide guidance to country teams to improve existing practices and maintain compliance over security-related customer requests and industry standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining processes and plans relating to supply chain security according to local statutory regulations, industry standards (TAPA, AEO, etc.) and customer requests
- Security of cargo in the warehouse
- Security of cargo in transit (from point-to-point)
- Management of high-tech/high-value cargo
- Review and implement security policies and procedures such as incident management, security asset procurement and security equipment installation projects
- Work closely with GEODIS’ customer account management and operations to resolve security related accidents. Conduct root cause analysis and define action plan for each incident
- Submit documentation for claims processing and reporting
- Oversee security compliance and audit of carriers and third-party warehouses and transport companies in accordance to GEODIS’ internal standards
- Manage 3rd party vendors that provide security or transport services to GEODIS
- Support countries in the region in the development and implementation of Business Continuity Plan, and Emergency Response Plans
- Administer policies and practices regarding employee business travel security, and support Corporate Head Office (CHO) on security policy implementation
- Roll out security knowledge training and know-how for staff across all levels
- Identify, promote and share best practices with all offices across the region
- Support the region and wider GEODIS network on supply chain security for tenders and projects, contract implementation and execution
Education Qualifications
Degree holder in Security, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
Language Requirements
Proficient in English language.
Proficiency in Mandarin language is a plus.
Experiences
8 – 10 years of experience in a logistics business security role Strong project management skills and experiences
Experience in both the international freight forwarding and/or contract logistics business (experience in both areas will be a plus)
Experience in an APAC security role is a plus.
