Job Summary
We are looking for a DIP Operator / Technician to join our PCBA manufacturing team. The role will support the DIP production process for server motherboards, covering component insertion, manual soldering, wave soldering, inspection, troubleshooting, equipment setup, and process improvement.
Candidates with experience in DIP, THT, PCB/PCBA assembly, wave soldering, or electronics manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform DIP component insertion, manual soldering, touch-up soldering, lead trimming, and board assembly for server motherboards.
- Conduct post-wave-soldering visual inspections and self-inspections to identify incorrect components, missing insertions, soldering defects, cold joints, and other quality issues.
- Operate and maintain DIP and wave soldering equipment, including equipment setup, parameter adjustment, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor DIP production processes, soldering quality, production yield, and line efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues related to wave soldering, manual soldering, and component insertion, and assist in resolving production and quality defects.
- Support production line changeovers, first-article inspections, and new product/process introductions.
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, IPC-A-610 standards, ESD requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Develop, update, and maintain DIP work instructions and SOPs where required.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to operators on DIP processes, component insertion, and soldering techniques.
- Maintain proper 5S standards at the workstation and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Handle material handover, inventory checks, and report any material or production abnormalities promptly.
- Record production, quality, and equipment performance data accurately.
- Work closely with Process/Manufacturing Engineers, Production, Quality, and other departments to improve DIP processes, production efficiency, and yield.
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives, including soldering quality and high-power component applications.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Secondary School / Technical Certificate / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 1–2+ years of experience in DIP, THT, PCB/PCBA assembly, manual soldering, or electronics manufacturing.
- Candidates with stronger technical experience in wave soldering equipment setup, parameter adjustment, troubleshooting, and process optimization will be considered for the technician-level scope.
- Able to identify basic electronic components and understand production SOPs/work instructions.
- Familiar with manual soldering, component insertion, touch-up soldering, lead trimming, and wave soldering.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 soldering standards is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of ESD control, 5S, quality inspection, and production safety.
- Able to troubleshoot common DIP equipment, soldering, and quality issues.
- Good attention to detail, responsible, disciplined, and able to work in a production environment.
- Basic English reading and writing skills.
- Willing to work on a two-shift rotation.
- Experience in server PCBA, motherboard manufacturing, or high-power component soldering will be an added advantage.
