Part-Time Finance Manager

Role Description

We are looking for a hands-on Part-Time Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations for an SME with entities in Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.

The role will focus on bringing structure and consistency to the finance function, including month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts, accruals and prepayments, inventory, GST, document controls and management reporting.

You will work closely with the bookkeepers and business owner to ensure transactions are properly recorded, supporting documents are maintained, deadlines are met, and finance processes are followed consistently across the entities.

This role is suited to someone who is comfortable getting into the details, cleaning up existing processes and putting practical controls in place, rather than purely providing high-level financial advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the monthly finance close across the entities
• Review bookkeeping and ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and cut-off
• Oversee inventory accounting and related reconciliations
• Review GST/tax coding and support statutory and audit requirements
• Improve chart of accounts, document retention and finance workflows
• Prepare/review monthly management accounts and cash flow reporting
• Establish practical finance controls, checklists and working papers
• Coordinate with bookkeepers, auditors, tax agents and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and organised records within Xero and shared folders

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on accounting and financial management experience
• Solid understanding of month-end close, reconciliations and financial controls
• Experience with Xero is strongly preferred
• Good knowledge of Singapore GST and accounting requirements
• Comfortable working with multiple entities and intercompany transactions
• Able to work independently and bring structure to an evolving finance environment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Accounting/Finance qualification; CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage
• SME, outsourced accounting or audit experience is beneficial
