Junior Electronics Engineer (Production & Projects)

Location: Singapore (2 openings) – on-site

Job Overview

As a Junior Electronics Engineer within the Production & Projects team, you will support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of electronic products for fare collection, payment, and transit applications — including validators, fare gates, ticket vending machines, and AFC infrastructure. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you will learn alongside experienced engineers and build the practical skills to grow into a full Electronics Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, testing, and inspection of electronic boards and finished devices.
• Execute functional and production test procedures under supervision and accurately record results.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies, including soldering and rework.
• Support firmware flashing, device programming, and functional verification.
• Help maintain lab and production equipment, ESD discipline, and component inventory.
• Document test results, maintenance logs, and observations for engineering review.
• Support senior engineers during integration, commissioning, and project deployment.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: 0–2 years; recent graduates with strong fundamentals and relevant project/internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Skills:
• Good understanding of analog and digital electronics and circuit fundamentals.
• Soldering ability and willingness to develop rework skills.
• Familiarity with lab instruments (oscilloscope, meters) and reading schematics/BOMs.
• Awareness of common interfaces such as UART, USB, SPI, and I2C.
• Strong PC skills (Windows/Linux) and good documentation habits.
• Familiarity with electronic and PCB design software specifically Altium Designer.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Problem-Solving Skills: A logical, methodical approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on Experience: Internship or academic project experience with embedded hardware or PCB assembly.
• Training: soldering or rework training.
• Industry Knowledge: Exposure to AFC, transit, or payment systems.
• Soft Skills: Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
