About the Role
Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Assistant Finance Manager
to join its dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a broad range of
accounting, payroll, tax, regulatory and client-facing responsibilities
. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, lawyers, and internal stakeholders, managing multiple assignments and ensuring all accounting and compliance matters are handled accurately and within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Liaise with clients to obtain the necessary documents and information for bookkeeping and accounting matters.
Handle full-set accounting and maintain accurate accounting records.
Prepare and compile financial statements and management accounts.
Prepare XBRL files for annual return filings with ACRA.
Review management accounts and financial statements prepared by Account Executives or outsourced accountants.
Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are properly maintained.
Payroll
Prepare monthly payroll and payslips for clients.
Handle CPF submissions and Make-Up Pay claims for NSmen.
Prepare IR8A forms and submit the Occupational Employment Dataset (OED).
Address payroll-related queries from clients and employees where required.
Corporate Tax
Prepare and file Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) submissions.
Prepare corporate tax computations and file corporate income tax returns with IRAS.
Assist clients with corporate tax-related queries and requirements.
Monitor tax filing deadlines and ensure timely compliance.
Personal Tax
Prepare personal income tax computations.
File individual income tax returns with IRAS.
Assist clients with personal tax queries and related tax matters.
MAS & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare annual declarations and relevant regulatory filings with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Assist in responding to MAS queries and requests for information.
Support clients with other regulatory and statutory compliance matters where required.
Other Finance & Compliance Matters
Handle CRS/FATCA compliance and related reporting requirements.
Assist with GST registration, computations and periodic GST filings.
Manage billing, collections and follow up with clients on outstanding payments.
Liaise closely with clients and lawyers on accounting, tax and compliance matters.
Assist with company striking-off and related tax/compliance matters on an ad-hoc basis.
Perform other finance, accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in
Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
.
At least
4 years of relevant accounting experience
, preferably with exposure to full-set accounting.
Experience working with
private clients, family offices, law firms, professional services firms, corporate services firms or other client-facing environments
will be highly advantageous.
Good knowledge of Singapore accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements, including
ACRA, IRAS and CPF
matters.
Experience in
corporate and personal tax, GST, CRS/FATCA and MAS-related filings
will be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple client matters, competing priorities and statutory deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, lawyers and internal stakeholders.
Proactive, responsible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Comfortable working in a professional, client-focused environment and handling confidential financial information.
