Position: Project Engineer (Based Marang site)

You are responsible to execute all the responsibilities and duties that come under the designation of Project Engineer (Port, Plant, and Mine).

Project Engineer (Port, Plant & Mine)

JD role not limited to TSC’s subsidiaries and/or associate silica beneficiation companies;

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
• Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.
• Interacting with contractor/supplier, interpreting the department needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.
• Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
• Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
• Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
• Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Identifies operational priorities by assessing operational objectives; determining project objectives, such as, efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, environmental quality; estimating relevance, time, and costs.
• Develops operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and screening alternative solutions; calculating economics; determining impact on the total system.
• Anticipates potential operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, unit limitations; monitoring unit performance.
• Improves operational quality results in mine, plant and port operations by studying, evaluating, and recommending process redesign; implementing changes; contributing information and opinion to the Management and related supervisors / Head of Units.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all operations by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Support time to time tasks assigned by the superior.

2D and 3D - Drafting and Modeling (Mechanical)

• Works with the Project Team to create the concept and modifies into fruition;
• Drafting including submission of proposals, construction drawings, and as-built drawings;
• Work closely with the project team in order to prepare and set out drawings;
• Coordinate with the project team for any revision / amendment of drawings to ensure consistent documentation of the project;
• Involve in every project’s meeting to discuss with the project team and prepare technical drawings and as-built drawings. Ensure compliance of drawings with regulatory specifications;

Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant engineering disciplines.
• Preferably at least 3 years of relevant working experience in project engineering with extensive experience in mine design, operations, and project management.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in project planning, scheduling, execution, site coordination, and project monitoring.
• Experienced in coordinating and working with contractors, suppliers, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D mechanical drafting and modelling, with hands-on experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or other relevant CAD software.
• Willing to travel between mine, processing plant, port, and other project locations as required.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a project team.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, coordination, planning, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a site-based and multidisciplinary environment.

Job Type: Full-time
