Job Description

Role Summary

The Technical Lead (Network & Security – Firewall) is responsible for leading the engineering, implementation, operation, and support of firewall and network security solutions. The role serves as the primary technical escalation point and ensures successful deployment and operational excellence of network security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

Lead firewall implementation, migration, and upgrade activitiesConfigure and manage: Palo Alto Firewalls, Fortinet Firewalls, Check Point Firewalls, Cisco Secure Firewall, etc.Implement firewall policies, NAT, routing, and VPN configurationsConduct system integration and testing

Operational Support

Provide L3/L4 technical supportTroubleshoot complex network and security incidentsLead root cause analysis and problem management activitiesImplement performance tuning and security hardening

Team Leadership

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineersReview technical deliverables and implementation plansEnsure adherence to operational procedures and standardsCoordinate change activities and maintenance windows

Security Management

Conduct firewall policy reviews and optimizationSupport vulnerability remediation activitiesEnsure compliance with security standards and governance requirementsSupport audits and security assessments

Documentation

Prepare implementation plans and technical proceduresMaintain HLD, LLD, SOPs, and operational runbooksDevelop knowledge base articles and operational standards
