Job Summary

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards while overseeing kitchen operations and guiding junior staff to maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes and restaurant quality standards
• Deliver food in a timely manner while ensuring consistency and high quality
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation activities for smooth workflow
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to meet restaurant standards
• Manage proper storage, handling, and rotation of food ingredients to maintain freshness
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food prep areas
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and workplace safety requirements
• Adapt to shift work including weekends and public holidays as required
• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Experience supervising or guiding kitchen staff
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
