About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tender preparation, progress claims, and contract administration for construction projects. The role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with early-career experience who are interested in developing their commercial and project-cost management capabilities.
Job Scope
Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
Support the preparation of tenders, quotations, project budgets, and subcontractor comparison reports.
Review subcontractor quotations, progress claims, and supporting documents.
Assist in preparing interim payments, variation orders, and monthly progress claims.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, claims, payments, variations, and commercial correspondence.
Monitor project costs and report potential cost changes or discrepancies to the project team.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments on commercial matters.
Support the settlement of final accounts and other contract administration activities.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
Relevant construction qualification or certification issued or recognised by BCA may also be considered.
Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant construction or Quantity Surveying experience are preferred.
Basic knowledge of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress claims, and contract administration.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
