Process (Automation) Engineer

to support their manufacturing. They are located in the

North – easily accessible

.

Responsibilities:
Lead the process engineering team in providing engineering support to manufacturing operations and achieving production targets.

Drive equipment reliability and machine uptime initiatives to improve overall production efficiency and operational performance.

Lead automation and equipment improvement projects, including machine upgrades, automated assembly systems and productivity enhancement initiatives.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance yield, output, quality and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment calibration and engineering activities to ensure equipment remains reliable and production-ready.

Provide technical expertise in automation systems, robotics, automated assembly processes, tooling and fixture development.

Lead equipment qualification, process validation and engineering validation activities in accordance with manufacturing and quality requirements.

Conduct structured equipment risk assessments to identify priorities for maintenance, upgrades and engineering improvements.

Collaborate with Production, Quality and other cross-functional teams to implement TPM, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage engineering resources, project schedules and budgets to ensure projects are delivered effectively with minimal disruption to operations.

Troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime, improving productivity and generating operational cost savings.

Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum

3 years of Process Engineering experience

, with strong hands-on exposure to

automation and automated assembly processes

.

Experienced in automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, process improvement, equipment troubleshooting and process validation.

Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
