Role Description This is a full-time BIM Engineer role based in Malaysia with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The BIM Engineer will develop, manage, and update Building Information Models for audio-visual and related integrated technology projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include producing and coordinating construction drawings, collaborating with architecture, civil, and MEP teams, and resolving design and coordination issues using BIM tools. The role involves reviewing and interpreting client requirements, applying relevant standards, and supporting project managers and engineers with documentation, clash detection, and model-based quantity and design checks. The BIM Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes, including model creation, coordination, and clash detection.
• Ability to produce and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation for integrated building and AV systems.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination in relation to AV and technology infrastructure.
• Understanding of architecture and civil engineering principles as they relate to building layouts, structures, and integrated systems.
• Relevant diploma or degree in architecture, civil engineering, MEP engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
• Experience working in a construction, engineering, or technology integration environment, preferably with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple models and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, cross-cultural setting.
• Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and quality assurance procedures for BIM and construction documentation.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement in Malaysia and to adapt to evolving tools, technologies, and workflows
