Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator specializing in MS SQL Server to join our organization in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our critical database infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will work with a detail-oriented approach, applying analytical skills to resolve complex database challenges and implement efficient solutions that support our business operations.

Administer and maintain MS SQL Server instances across development, testing, and production environments

Design, implement, and optimize database schemas to ensure data integrity and system performance

Monitor database performance metrics and conduct regular tuning activities to maximize efficiency

Develop and execute comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity

Implement and manage security protocols, including user access controls, permissions, and encryption standards

Write and optimize T-SQL scripts for data management, automation, and reporting purposes

Troubleshoot database issues systematically and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime

Configure and manage high availability solutions, including Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering

Perform capacity planning and resource allocation to support organizational growth

Document database configurations, procedures, and architectural decisions for organizational knowledge management

Collaborate with development teams to optimize application-database interactions and resolve performance bottlenecks

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator with MS SQL Server

Advanced proficiency in MS SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance

Strong expertise in T-SQL scripting and query optimization

Demonstrated experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

Solid understanding of database security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms

Experience implementing and managing high availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups and clustering

Proficiency with database monitoring and performance tuning tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Preferred experience with Azure SQL Database or other cloud-based database platforms

Preferred knowledge of database replication and mirroring technologies

Preferred experience with automation and scripting for administrative tasks
