Job Description
- Managed full-spectrum finance and accounting operations for the Malaysia business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies.
- Coordinated monthly and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Prepared financial analyses and management reports, providing insights into sales performance, operating expenses, margins, and key business KPIs.
- Supported budgeting and forecasting processes by analysing financial trends, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to management.
- Oversaw accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities to maintain strong financial controls and liquidity.
- Liaised with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities to support statutory reporting, tax compliance, and annual audit requirements.
- Maintained accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal controls, approval procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinated office administration activities, including vendor management, facilities maintenance, budget monitoring, travel arrangements, and company events.
- Supported HR administration functions such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, employee records management, benefits administration, and recruitment support.
- Ensured compliance with local statutory, financial, and administrative regulations by maintaining proper documentation and supporting internal and external compliance reviews.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or financial planning, preferably within an international organisation.
- Experience supporting administrative or office operations is an advantage.
- Exposure to HR administration is beneficial.
- Experience in retail, fashion, consumer goods or another fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights.
- Competitive salary ranging from MYR 8000 to MYR 10000 monthly.
