Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end FIX connectivity for clients and exchange or venue-side connections, including drop copy and gateways across Fidessa and Broadridge.

  • Provide senior-level cash equities trading technology support and act as an escalation point for trading desk and FIX client issues.

  • Manage market data feeds and coordinate timely resolution of reliability or data issues.

  • Elicit, document, specify, and prioritize business and technology requirements between the trading desk and technology teams.

  • Plan and coordinate BAU change projects and platform enhancements using JIRA within a sprint-based workflow.

  • Support APAC market activity across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan, including trading and regulatory considerations.

  • Collaborate with the Sydney-based BAU lead and wider APAC technology team to manage priorities and capacity.

  • Evaluate, adopt, and advocate for AI tooling where it improves support quality, incident resolution speed, or operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

  • 8-10 years of experience in front office trading technology support within cash equities.

  • Deep Fidessa expertise, including configuration, FIX session management, troubleshooting, and user support.

  • Strong FIX protocol knowledge across client-facing and exchange or venue-side connectivity.

  • Experience using Broadridge in a trading technology context.

  • Familiarity with market data platforms and market data issue resolution.

  • Business analysis skills, including the ability to elicit, document, and clearly specify requirements.

  • Experience working in a JIRA-driven, sprint-based team without requiring a formal agile framework.

  • Solid understanding of APAC cash equities markets, microstructure, and operational norms.

  • Curious mindset with demonstrated interest in applying emerging tools, including AI, to day-to-day technology and support work.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience configuring UL COMS rules in the Broadridge ITiviti Order Management System (OMS).
