SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Professional

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial industry.
• Very good understanding of software design/development/customization processes.
• Capability to analyze complex and poorly defined problems related to the application and to provide solutions independently.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Experience in the design of service architecture & integration.
• Strong understanding of Financial Instruments.

Technical

• Good knowledge in parametrization with Temenos Data Source (TDS).
• Good know-how in creating SQL statements using the data model of TDS.
• Experience with Linux System Management and JBOSS necessary to work independent.
• Experience in Configuration Management and Deployment Automation especially with Bitbucket, Nexus, Jenkins, Octopus.
• Experience to work in an agile environment (SAFE).
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence (Wiki).
• Experience in incident management 3rd level support.
• Experience with requirements engineering and translation of business requirements into IT solution design
• Experience with financial data providers like SIX, Bloomberg, Morningstar, WMData.
• Experience with programming with Python and Bash Shell-Scripts is welcome.
• Deep experience and know-how with Oracle-DB, SQL, and PL-SQL is welcome.
• Kafka streaming know-how is welcome.

Functional / Technical

• Develop and parameterize system- and interface enhancements in the application Financial Instrument data system (FI-Master) based on Temenos Data Source (TDS) and scripting in Python, Bash-Scripts.
• Create custom reports, interfaces and enhancements as per business requirements.
• Implement mappings and rules to stage, consolidate and distribute static and price data from different data providers.
• Implement TDS standard packages and releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to FI-Master as L3 support in case of incidents.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, design documents, and user guides in Confluence.
• Work closely with operation teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with other developers and IT staff to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices like TDD (test-driven development).
• Conduct code reviews
