Technical Lead

Location: Remote (Malaysia-based candidates preferred)

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Lead to take ownership of the architecture, delivery, and technical direction of our backend platform. This role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to engineers across Backend, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Review and drive architecture decisions, code quality, and deployment practices.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple engineering initiatives and workstreams.
• Establish and promote best practices across TypeScript, NestJS, AWS, and PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Proven experience designing and developing high-availability distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and production environments.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or Aurora.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing or leading remote/distributed engineering teams.
• Background in Web3, blockchain, or high-growth startup environments.
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
