JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist the HSE Manager in implementing occupational safety and health programs, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate HSE training programs, including scheduling, attendance monitoring, competency requirements, and maintenance of training records.
- Monitor compliance with applicable occupational safety and health legislation, regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Coordinate the reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses, and other HSE-related matters.
- Assist in accident and incident investigations, including information gathering, root cause identification, and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Develop and distribute safety bulletins, safety alerts, newsletters, toolbox talk materials, and other HSE communications to promote employee awareness.
- Assist in preparing and submitting HSE reports to regulatory authorities, clients, and management as required.
- Coordinate HSE training, competency, and certification requirements and monitor the validity of employee certifications.
- Maintain and control HSE documentation and records, including training records, inspection reports, incident reports, audit findings, risk assessments, and corrective action records.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective actions arising from audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Support the implementation of HSE campaigns, awareness programs, and initiatives to promote safe working practices and continual improvement.
- Conduct or assist with workplace inspections and safety observations to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and potential hazards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of HIRARC and other QEHS risk assessments as required.
- Support the effective implementation and continual improvement of the QEHS Management System.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of QEHS policies, procedures, objectives, legal requirements, and other applicable requirements.
- Perform any other HSE-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum SPM qualification; Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Compulsory OSH Coordinator Certificate recognized by the relevant authority.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in occupational safety, health, HSE, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, HSE practices, and workplace safety procedures.
- Good communication, coordination, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to learn, take on new challenges, and develop professionally in the field of HSE and operations.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as as part of a team.
- Demonstrates the potential and willingness to take on greater responsibilities and future roles in HSE and operations.
- Willing to work at operational sites and support HSE activities as required.
Salary Range : RM2200 - RM2300
Working Days : 6 (Mon - Sat)
Working Hours: 0830 - 1700
